Sometimes the right question guides us more than the right answer.
From the questions below, pick out three that seem most important right now. Then take some time to ponder each of them. No rush. Take all month if you need it. As you ponder, consider: How would the people around you answer each question? What answers have people come up with around the world and throughout history? What do you think of those answers that are already out there? Which answers make most sense to your head? Which answers make most sense to your heart?

- How could you more fully engage in life?
- When in your life have you been most alive and happy?
- Who is someone you want to live like? Why?
- What makes life worth living?
- What are your main goals for the future? Who can you think of that has already achieved those goals? What did they do to get there? Are they happy now?
- What are your main goals for the present?
- What is the purpose of your life?
- What abilities and potential do you have and how are you using them?
- What do your fears, fantasies, worries, and frustrations tell you about what you value?
- Is it possible to be happy even if your circumstances don’t change?
- Who is the happiest person that you know? Why are they happy?
- What are you looking forward to in life?
- Is there meaning in suffering?
- Can joy and pain coexist? How?
- What makes a good romantic relationship? Who do you know who has a good romantic relationship? What makes it work?
- What makes a good friendship?
- What does it mean to love someone deeply?
- What are the most meaningful experiences you’ve had? Why were they so meaningful?
- Are you loved and respected by those around you? When have you felt most loved? Whose love and respect do you desire the most?
- Can your deep wounds be healed? How?
- Is there anything after death?
- Does God exist? Does it matter? Can you get to know God? Does God care about you and your life?
- What are you most afraid of?
- What would your ideal life look like? What internal changes would that require?
- When do you feel most yourself? When do you feel most fake?
- What more can you do today to find hope, joy, peace, beauty, and fulfillment?
- Do your behaviors day to day align with your beliefs and values?
